In the Professional Development Lab, the three educational institutions work on strengthening their own expertise and services to support lifelong learning in the Utrecht region.

  • They enhance the skills of their staff to better respond to the needs and demands of employers, employees, and jobseekers.
  • Together with employers involved in the Transition Lab, they are developing an approach to tailored education that can be widely applied across the Utrecht region.
  • They deploy account managers who actively seek collaboration with employers to co-develop customised education programmes for the energy transition and circular economy.
  • They also appoint lifelong learning advisers who provide personal guidance to employees and job seekers, for example, when they want to enter a sector facing labour shortages.
